Cars, line, and Newman

        This Newman guy, meh, not my cup of tea dude. However I seem to be making a somewhat vague connection in the details of his works towards the designing of and working on cars. (Something I really LOVE) Such attention to details and small discoveries on his part remind me of building my first car and painting it. (a 2month task) Building a car is art. Most ppl consider cars as a simple means of tranportation. But there're special cars, created and designed with careful thought and consideration. This newman dude is thoughtfully selective, exploring new and intriguing ways of incorporating line and space and more. I do the same thing when working on a car. It'll be interesting to see what happens as we move on in this class, I'm ready to get going. Maybe even excited? about line?

1st assignment

It awakens your awareness more to what you are doing. I usually just grab something to draw with and go for it, but for this you have to be a little more thoughtful. I paid more thought to the results of different marks. Its a little boring and repetitive. But there is a process we take to acheive what we want. I think this is about breaking down that process and exploring different possibilities within Line.
